Things you should know about NUST

1. Thetas are in the air:

No sooner did you enter NUST than you realize that you are no more "big fish in a small pond". Every other student you meet has some sort of distinction in academics. 

2. Aao na jee!

NUST has zero tolerance policy regarding ragging. But rules are made to be broken.



3. Hostel "Mess" 

If you are a foodie, you are not gonna be happy with the hostel mess. You will miss "Ammi k hath k prathay and Biryani" every moment. The thing NUST is good at is...

4. Cafes, Dhabas and "Mahol"

The food at cafes is kind of cool but the "mahol" is "super cools" *winks*
The cafe is surrounded by NBS and S3H *winks again*
You can't skip the 9:00 PM leisure walks from hostel to cafe ... for coffee, of course  *winks* 

5. Stay in your "Speed" limits

The moment you crossed 40 Km/hr, a "cha-cha" with cameras will jump out of no where to give you a Rs.1000 ticket. And If you happen to be a "My life, My rules" type of guy and don't stop, they will follow you, find your bike in some parking lot and lock its wheels :D

6. Lightening "teez" Internet

Internet speed goes up to 5Mbps when you are asleep and its 5kbps rest of the time. Sometimes you can't even browse. And of course "No Torrents in NUST", they are ban.

7. NUST Lake

This mystic sunset at NUST lake! Already dreaming yourself in a boat, huh? To make it clear, they dump hostel sewage in it :p

10. NUST Metro Service:

NUST has its own inter-institute metro service. It comprises of - one electric shuttle, which is synced such that its always moving in the opposite direction as of yours. Oh wait... If your are a guy it has got no space for you *cries in the corner*





11. Aww! Why so hot?

Summer semester in NUST is easy. Its like you are on a bike but the bike is on fire and you are on fire. Actually everything is on fire because its hell.








12. Kia apko coding pasand ha?

If you are good at coding( C/Cpp mainly), 'things' are going to be very smooth for you. Okay by "things" I mean everything *winks*. You will be seen as a life saver by everyone. So its better if you start it right now.

State of the art labs, brilliant minds, dedicated staff and a lot of opportunities for social grooming are what make NUST the best. Once you have been there, no other institute is good enough.
